This grilled chili steak, covered in fresh made salsa, is quick and easy to grill on the barbecue, as shown by the BBQ Pit Boys.
THE INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:
Porterhouse Steak
Fresh Salsa
FOR THE RUB
Chili Powder – 2 Tbs
Paprika – 1 Tbs
Cayenne Pepper – 1 tsp
Your Favorite Steak Seasoning – 2 Tbs Or one of our steak seasonings found here;
Brown Sugar – 2 Tbs
DIRECTIONS
MAKING
THE RUB
1. In a Bowl mix
Chili Powder – 2 Tbs
Paprika – 1 Tbs
Cayenne Pepper – 1 tsp
Steak Seasoning – 2 Tbs
Brown Sugar – 2 Tbs
2. Mix well breaking up any clumps
GETTING READY
3. Coat both sides of the steak with the rub working it into the meat
4. Set your grill up for direct grilling, you want a medium heat so that you will not burn the rub
COOKING
5. Place your steak directly over the hot coals
6. Cook to your preferred doneness
FINALIZING
7. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes to let the juices redistribute throughout the meat
8. Top the steak with fresh salsa
9. Add your favorite sides
