These sweet berry stuffed, bacon wrapped Jalapenos will change the game from the same ol Poppers you're serving up at your Pit... Check out how easy it is to do this Martha fav, shown here by the BBQ Pit Boys.
BBQ Pit Boys
8 large Jalapenos
12 ounces of plan cream cheese (box and 1/2)
16 bacon slices
1 quart fresh strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
Mash/Macerate strawberries in a bowl
add sugar, and continue to mash until large chunks are gone and have a liquid texture
using mixer, mix cream cheese and strawberries and mix until smooth and well blended
core out jalapenos and cut tops off (will be used later)
pipe in the strawberry cream cheese mixture, put tops back on and secure with toothpick
Wrap two slices of bacon on each of the poppers securing with toothpicks.
Prepare the grill with temperature of 300-325 degrees and place poppers indirect and away from hot coals.
Cover and cook for about 45 minutes, flipping the poppers 1/2 way through.
