BBQ Beef Roast

Ingredients

  • Eye of round beef
  • SPG
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Bread crumbs or Panko
  • Chef string
  • BBQ sauce

Directions

  1. In a jar, pour some olive oil and add some SPG and mix well. This is the marinade rub for the beef.
  2. Cut the eye of the round beef in 4 to 5 slits, about 2 inches deep on both sides. Be careful not to cut it off.
  3. Now take the liquid olive oil / SPG marinade and rub well all over the beef and deep into the cuts.
  4. Now sprinkle a good amount of garlic powder on the beef. Now sprinkle panko over the beef.
  5. Tie the roast together with some chef string.
  6. Medium heat 300F
  7. Cook/roast the beef over indirect heat all thru. After 20 mins or so, baste some bbq sauce, flip it and baste the other side. You may repeat this process at different intervals. Cook this to an internal temperature of 120F.
